Sunday Recipe

MMMMM...This Recipe was given to me by my mother-in-law, who loves making new things!

Caramelized Pears and Red Onions

prep time: 5 min. total time: 45 min.
Serves 4

2 firm, ripe red pears (or green), such as bartlett, cored and quartered

2 red onions, each cut into 6 wedges

1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper


Preheat oven to 425' F. Drizzle pears and onions with oil. Season with salt and pepper, toss. Spread mixture in a single layer baking sheet. Roast, turning pieces occasionally, until golden brown, about 40 minutes.

You will love this recipe! Tastes even like a dessert!

  1. My grandpap once randomly gave me a whole bag of pears. I had no idea what to do with them. Most spoiled - I should keep this recipe just in case he gets the urge for another random fruit gift!
